Phasing out with Vanishing

Asked by ferrari_snowday 13 years ago

If i have a vanishing in play, and enough mana open to use its ability, can an instant such as Disperse or some other instant that does not have split second bounce/kill and disenchant my creature?

Yes. VanishingMTG Card: Vanishing has an activated ability that uses the stack. In response to you activating your ability, your opponent may cast an instant or activate an instant-speed ability that somehow removes your creature or enchantment from the field.

yes, the stack resolves from the top down so an instant spell that would remove the enchantment would resolve first before VanishingMTG Card: Vanishing would.

405.5. When all players pass in succession, the top (last-added) spell or ability on the stack resolves. If the stack is empty when all players pass, the current step or phase ends and the next begins

hope that helped

Of course, if you have the mana available you could activate Vanishing in response to the spell.
