Will Omniscience let you cast your general from the general zone for free repeatedly?

Even if you do get your commander into your hand, you still have to pay the additional commander tax because Omniscience 's effect only changes the base cost of the spell. Additional/increased costs still apply.

Should have reread the card though i thought the commander tax only applied if it was being cast from the command zone?

Did some quick research and the tax is only paid if you're casting from the command zone.

Sorry, I started that post on another train of thought. I meant to say "Even if Omniscience did affect cards in other zones"

No. Omniscience specifically says "from your hand." The command zone is not your hand.
