Ob Nixilis, Unshackled

Hi all!

So I'm working on a deck for this DnD came I plan to run and i came across an interaction I wasn't sure about.

Does Ob's second ability (namely the lose 10 life) proc Grievous Wound? I just want to make sure I'm not playing wrong.

No, Grievous Wound won't trigger. Being dealt damage almost always results in losing life but damage and life loss aren't the same thing. Effects that care about damage being dealt don't interact with effects that make someone lose life directly without specifically dealing them damage. Consider that if damage and life loss were treated as the same thing, then Grievous Wound would trigger off itself endlessly if the enchanted player lost life for any reason.
