New ulamog?

Asked by Barrelbomb 9 years ago

Hi there, just wondering on the legality of the new ulamog?Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger is it legal to use in standard 60 card decks? seems geared for more EDH but have not been able to find a definitive answer

Standard includes all cards from Khans of Tarkir and up (until April 8, when Khans of Tarkir and Fate Reforged rotate out). Whether a card seems like it would be better in another format is irrelevant to legality.

Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger was printed in a Standard-legal set (Battle for Zendikar), so is legal for Standard play. It's even a 4-of in a pretty serious Eldrazi Ramp deck in the format.

The current Standard-legal sets are Khans of Tarkir, Fate Reforged, Dragons of Tarkir, Magic: Origins, Battle for Zendikar, and Oath of the Gatewatch. When Shadows over Innistrad is released, Khans of Tarkir and Fate Reforged will rotate out of Standard.

Check the Gatherer for set legality, as well as this site.
