Multiple Copies of Gutter Grime

Asked by goober1223 13 years ago

So, it's very straightforward that multiple copies of Gutter Grime will create one token for each Gutter Grime that you control. The question is, if the number of counters on each is different, how do you determine which one to refer to for each Ooze creature's P/T? Do they refer to the Gutter Grime that created them? Or do you choose? And if you choose, can you choose/change them at-will? I would refer to magiccards.info or the oracle database, but I can't get there from work.

Gutter Grime , like Saproling Burst , gives the tokens a linked ability, and the linked ability only references the specific object it's linked to, so each token will only be associated with the Gutter Grime that created it. This is summarized in the Oracle ruling notes for Saproling Burst as: "10/4/2004 - Each token knows which Saproling Burst it came from."
