Morph creatures and creatures copy spells

Asked by Noloic 13 years ago

Let's suppose i've a Morph creature onto the battlefield, for example Exalted AngelMTG Card: Exalted Angel,FACED DOWN. If i copy it using CloneMTG Card: Clone, will the copy be a simply 2/2 colorless creature or will it gain the Morph ability of the card? (i suppose it doesn't,but i ask to be sure)

Anything that copies a face-down permanent will have modified properties. For example, if you CloneMTG Card: Clone a morphed Exalted AngelMTG Card: Exalted Angel, the Clone will be a face-up 2/2 creature with no creature types or abilities.

An example from the Comprehensive Rules:

Example: Clone enters the battlefield as a copy of a face-down Grinning Demon (a creature with morph 2BB). The Clone is a colorless 2/2 creature with no name, no types, no abilities, and no mana cost. It will still be face up. Its controller can't pay 2BB to turn it face up.
