Meld rules question
Asked by perrin515 8 years ago
OK I have a question about the meld mechanic. If I were to use something like sneak attack to get one or both of the cards into play and meld them at the end of turn before the sacrifice mechanic of sneak attack, wouldn't the melded card stay? I understand this does not work with transform because its still the same creature. With meld though, it is a completely different creature.
Thats what I thought. hmm time to start thinking of how I might be able to abuse this.

Sneak Attack
In order to meld, the "ingredients" exile themselves then return as the melded card. Because of this, the DTA from Sneak Attack no longer exists on the cards and therefore will not be sacrificed at all.
This is because whenever an object changes zones it becomes a new entity with no relation or history of its previous existence.
