May I keep my copied creature (using Felhide Spiritbinder) by casting Cloudshift?
Asked by AdrianMagic 9 years ago
I had the idea of copying creatures using Felhide Spiritbinder and cast Cloudshift on the copied creature. Will that copy become permanent or not?

Here's the relevant rule:
- 110.5g A token that has left the battlefield cant move to another zone or come back onto thebattlefield. If such a token would change zones, it remains in its current zone instead. It ceasesto exist the next time state-based actions are checked

Alright, thank you. Didn't think about that rule. :)

It won't, in fact it won't even return to the battlefield. Tokens can only exist on the battlefield; if they somehow leave the battlefield they cease to exist, even if an effect would bring them back right away (like Cloudshift).
