Magic the gathering tokens do they go to the graveyard?
Asked by Troommate 11 years ago
If a token is destroyed/killed on field does it go to the graveyard and then disappears or does it go straight out of play?
Example-A zombie token is killed by a Doom Blade then does the token hit the graveyard and then is recognised as a token and removed from play or does it go straight.
A bit of a nitpick here but most zombie tokens are black so they could not be targeted by Doom Blade .

Tokens do change zones like anything else. The way they differ is that they cease to exist the next time SBA are checked after they change zones. So if your Zombie token is killed, it will go to the graveyard and then cease to exist. Note that this is different from exiling something.
