Liquimetal Coating and Bludgeon Brawl Interaction

If I make something an artifact with Liquimetal Coating or another effect, and then equip it to a creature while Bludgeon Brawl is on the battlefield, what will happen when the equipment stops being an artifact?

Bludgeon Brawl's ability stops applying to it and it becomes unequipped.
