Karmic Justice?
Asked by r2d551 11 years ago
If I attach Asha's Favor ( or any aura) onto my creature, will Karmic Justice trigger when the creature is destroyed through a spell such as doom blade? If so, why? (I am thinking it may cause the trigger as the spell is indirectly causing the aura to be destroyed)
Here's also the ruling which covers your question...
303.4b If an Aura is enchanting an illegal object or player, the object it was attached to no longer exists, or the player it was attached to has left the game, the Aura is put into its owners graveyard. (This is a state-based action. See rule 704.)

Just as an explanation, nothing is "destroyed" unless a card effect specifically CALLS it "destroyed," or it is a creature that has taken lethal damage. Anything else that causes something to go to the graveyard does not "destroy" it, even though it goes to the graveyard.

Karmic Justice will not trigger. If a creature that is enchanted by an aura leaves the battlefield, the aura will be placed into its owner's graveyard. It is not considered destroyed.
