Is the beginning of the upkeep before the untap step?

Technically, it is:

Untap, Upkeep, Draw, Main, Beginning of Combat, Declare Attackers, Declare Blockers, Combat Damage, End of Combat, Main, End, Cleanup.

Combat is a phase which is itself divided into 5 steps (6 if there is first or double strike involved).

Ah, but Untap, Upkeep, and Draw are all part of the "Beginning" phase. :)
