Is Tasigur, the Goldern Fang a multicoloured or monocoloured creature?

A friend of mine says he's multicoloured becaue of his mana ability, another says that he's mono because his casting cost on has black. Who is right?

Tasigur, the Golden Fang

Tasigur, the Golden Fang is a mono black creature. A card's color is determined only by the colored mana symbols in its casting cost, color indicators in its type line, and characteristic-defining abilities that set its color.

That said, Tasigur, the Golden Fang has a black, blue, and green color identity for the purposes of formats that care about color identity. Color identity considers the mana symbols in a card's text box.

Also, note that Tasigur, the Golden Fang does NOT have a mana ability. A mana ability is an ability that doesn't target anything, isn't a loyalty ability, and adds mana to a player's mana pool. Mana abilities are NOT the same as abilities that cost mana to activate.
