Is Colorless a valid color choice?

was talking iwth some buddies at the breakfast table this morning and we weren't sure if you could use colorless as a choice for Caged Sun . We were looking at the possiblities as a supplement to artifact and eldrazi decks utilizing the Urza and locus lands, and are wondering if you could pump colorless creatures and double your land production in this manner by declaring colorless as your choice.

105.1. There are five colors in the Magic game: white, blue, black, red, and green.
105.4. If a player is asked to choose a color, he or she must choose one of the five colors. "Multicolored" is not a color. Neither is "colorless."

Colorless is an absence of color. When a card or effect instructs you to choose a color, you must choose from the 5 available colors of mana: White, Blue, Black, Red, or Green.
