Is Arbor Elf a mana ability?

I thought mana abilities were abilities that could produce extra mana, which Arbor Elf doesn't have to do. If it isn't a mana ability, it could be pretty good with card:Illusionist's Bracers.

No. The extra mana you get is produced by the land, not Arbor Elf . Arbor Elf just helps you get there.
