If Pili-Pala becomes tapped the turn it enters the battlefield can i untap it?

I'm creating a deck with infinite mana based around Grand Architect and Pili-Pala. If Pili-Pala became tapped the turn I played it, could I use its untap ability?

I'm afraid not. The untap symbol is treated basically just the same as the tap symbol.

302.6. A creature's activated ability with the tap symbol or the untap symbol in its activation cost can't be activated unless the creature has been under its controller's control continuously since his or her most recent turn began. [...] This rule is informally called the "summoning sickness" rule.

If it has haste, yes. From the Comprehensive Rules:

702.10c If a creature has haste, its controller can activate its activated abilities whose cost includes the tap symbol or the untap symbol even if that creature hasnt been controlled by that player continuously since his or her most recent turn began.
