If i have and intangible virtue out and a trostani, selesnya's voice and then i play a midnight haunting do the tokens still come in as 1/1's or do they enter as 2/2's and then would i gain just 2 life or 4 life?

A static buff applies at all times. If it would apply to a permanent that enters the battlefield, it applies as that permanent enters the battlefield. Therefore, Intangible Virtue causes 1/1 tokens to enter the battlefield as 2/2s - those tokens are never 1/1s waiting to become 2/2s.
Even though this is the case, it doesn't matter in this example. Whenever a spell or ability requires information about the game state or an object, that information is determined only when the spell or ability resolves (casting/activation/triggering restrictions are the exceptions). card:Trostani, Selesnya's Voice doesn't check the toughness of the creature that triggered its ability until the ability resolves. At that point, any buffs - including buffs from activated abilities or spells - will be included.

they would enter as 2/2's as intangible virtue is a static buff. it just happens without SBA or Passing Priority. in this case you would gain 2 life for each spirit.
