If Ashcloud Phoenix dies while it is a morph, does it come back?

I am not sure if the gatherer's ruling makes reference to this, I am not familiar with morph cards :(

If Ashcloud Phoenix leaves the graveyard before its dies ability resolves, it wont return to the battlefield.

Does this prevent the birdie to return if it was killed as a morph?

Ashcloud Phoenix won't come back if it dies as a Morph. As a Morph it has no abilities, thus nothing happens when it dies.
