Hypothetical question about Princess Twilight Sparkle
Asked by vasarto77 5 years ago
OK. So, lets say that for some fun reason there was a large tournament somewhere and it allowed people to use cards from the charity set "Ponies: The Galloping". If I had Princess Twilight Sparkle out on the field and I activate her ability of "Everypony" ( the pony slang equivalent for our human term everybody-In case you are dumb) wins the game, to what context and definition of the word "Everyone" does that applicable to? Let me give a scenario.
We are at a Grand Prix and it's commander and for some reason this card is allowed to be your commander along with a way to have the card from unhinged that states it can change its name to whatever name you want it to have or some other way of activating twilight's special ability so that you can force everypony to win the game. Would that, in theory, mean that everyone attending the grand prix who has a game in progress is Intentionally drawn? So everyone would end up as a 1/1/1? Or do you think it would only apply to the game that they are actually in? But would that not be "everypony" and "someponies"...I mean...somebody would be excluded from this everyone?

its the same way that cards that read "each opponent" only affect opponents in the same game, not the whole event.

hm. OK. I was curious because what would happen to a tournament if everyone all ID's in a round all at once? lol.

it would quite obviously only refer to "everybody" in the game. not the whole event.
