How Unearth works?

Asked by Lorendih 6 years ago

I, I'm a little rusty with MTG rules so I need some help.

"Unearth" says that I can return a card from graveyard to the battlefield.

But, can I return a card that I discarded from hand to graveyard?

For example...I discard "Drana, Liberator of Malakir" (It costs 3 mana) to activate "Stromkirk Condemned" ability...then I use "Unearth" to put that vampire to the battlefield with only one mana.

Can I do this?

Thank you!

Yes, you can. It doesn't care how the creature got to the graveyard, just that it's in your graveyard. Also, please link the cards in question by putting double square brackets around the name Drana, Liberator of Malakir
