How The Foretold Soldier triggers while receiving lethal damage ?

If The Foretold Soldier is blocked by another creature with enough power to deal lethal damage, will the soldier be exiled so I can cast him later or will it just go to the graveyard?

When The Foretold Soldier's ability triggers, it creates a trigger to exile it, meaning damage will already be done to the Soldier. If the Foretold Soldier is already dead when the trigger tries to resolve (which would happen if it died in combat for some reason) then it cannot be exiled and will stay in the graveyard.
