how many targets for Fall of the Titans

Asked by wonder_llama 8 years ago

The text on Fall of the Titans is confusing me. Can i deal damage to up to 2 target creatures AND up to 2 target players for a total of 4 targets, or do I get up to 2 targets that can be either a player or creature?

You get two targets. Each of those two targets can be either a creature or a player.

Worth mentioning:

Since it doesn't let you target a planeswalker, you cannot deal damage to your opponent and a planeswalker he controls. You can select your opponent as one of the targets and then redirect that damage to a planeswalker he controls, but, since you cannot chose the same object as a target twice, you can't both redirect to a 'walker and have the opponent take damage.

In a two-headed giant game, each of the two heads is considered an individual player, so you can choose opponent A and opponent B as the two targets, with the final result of dealing twice the damage to the team.

That means that if you are playing two-headed giant, and on of your opponents controls a planeswalker, you can redirect his or her "half of the damage to the 'walker, and deal X damage to the walker and X to the opposing team.
