when casting Entreat the Angels how does the xx mana work?

Basically, once you decide how many Angels you want from Entreat the Angels, you have to pay twice that much generic mana and WWW to get them. All the choices for a spell or ability - including targets, modes, the value of variables like X, etc. - are made before costs are calculated, because often these choices can affect how much it costs. If you want 3 Angels, that means X is 3, and the spell will cost 3 + 3 + WWW = 9 total.

During casting, you declare a value for X, then pay it twice (or just once for the Miracle cost).
Example: cast Entreat the Angels
, declaring X to be 4, you will pay 8, W, W, W to cast the spell. Miracle casting with X=4 is 4, W, W.
