How does the new card Containment Priest interact with Show and Tell?

Let's say my opponent cast Show and Tell . I can either put into play the card Containment Priest, or I have the mana to flash it in before Show and Tell resolves. I know that casting it in response will make any creature my opponent tries to put into play get exiled, but will it also exile the creature if they are put into play simultaneously? My instinct is it won't get exiled, but I want to make sure. Also here is the new card:

No, this doesn't work. If the Priest isn't on the battlefield before Show and Tell resolves, it's replacement effect can't apply.

  • 614.4. Replacement effects must exist before the appropriate event occursthey cant go back in time and change something thats already happened.

If you choose to put Containment Priest onto the battlefield ustilizing the effect of Show and Tell having resolved, both the Priest and the permanents your opponents put onto the battlefield will stay there, because the replacement effect that the Priest creates will not be present at the time when they "would enter the battlefield". The priest must first be on the battlefield to start affecting the rules. In other words, you need to cast it in response to Show and Tell to achieve the desired outcome.
