How does the ability of Blood Artist work on a board wipe?

I've encountered a lot of contradicting opinions on this. I was under the impression that because everything is killed and abilities trigger simultaneously, the ability will trigger for every creature wiped even if that includes Blood Artist, but a few people seem to think it will only trigger for itself. Could someone lay this to rest once and for all?

It'll be every creature. Whenever multiple objects change zones at the same time (usually creatures entering/leaving the battlefeild) they all 'see' each other doing so.

Also, always check a card's Gatherer entry for frequently asked rulings, like this one:

• If Blood Artist and one or more other creatures die at the same time, its ability will trigger for each of those creatures.
