How does Reassembling Skeleton's ability work?

1. Can I activate Reassembling Skeleton 's ability while it is in the graveyard, even though most creatures require them to be on the battlefield to activate abilities?

2. If I activate Reassembling Skeleton 's ability while it is on the battlefield and it dies before that ability resolves, will it return from the grave when that ability resolves?

Though it's not written like some cards that might say "If (card) is in your graveyard)", Reassembling Skeleton 's ability applies only when it is in the graveyard.

You can only activate the Reassembling Skeleton 's ability while it is in the graveyard. If it were possible to activate it while it was on the battlefield, it wouldn't do anything, even if you activated it and then destroyed it in response.

Ok, do you know where i can find the official wording of it? Because there is nothing for the card under the oracle text on gatherer.

112.6k An ability whose cost or effect specifies that it moves the object its on out of a particular zone functions only in that zone, unless that abilitys trigger condition, or a previous part of that abilitys cost or effect, specifies that the object is put into that zone.

Example: Reassembling Skeleton says ": Return Reassembling Skeleton from your graveyard to the battlefield tapped." A player may activate this ability only if Reassembling Skeleton is in his or her graveyard.
