How does Anikthea interact with Hidden Stag?
Asked by OxygenDestroyer65 1 year ago
If I activate Anikthea, Hand of Erebos ETB/attack trigger to create a token copy of a Hidden Stag in my graveyard, what happens when someone plays a land? If I play a land does the token copy become a 3/2 beast and stops being a 3/3 enchantment zombie? Or is it now a 3/2 enchantment beast zombie? If an opponent plays a land does nothing happen at all since it's already an enchantment to begin with? Confusing interaction, thanks for the help!

Thanks! Yeah, I'm curious about the potential color change as well. So when I play a land, it will become a noncreature enchantment?

Correct it will become a noncreature enchantment.
From what i’ve read the token will remain Green/Black even as it changes between enchantment & creature.

Hidden Stags triggered abilities completely change what its card types are - which means it won’t be a 3/3 zombie anymore after either player plays a land.
So when an opponent plays a land, as Hidden Stag is a 3/3 black and green enchantment zombie creature, it’ll become a 3/2 beast creature.
When you play a land, as Hidden Stag is a 3/3 black and green enchantment zombie creature, it’ll become an enchantment.
I believe the only additions from Anikthea, Hand of Erebos that will remain on it will be that it is now black - though i’m not 100% on this… i can do some digging to find out if this is at-all important to you.
