Hatching plans discard phase

If i have over 7 cards in my hand and i end my turn, i discard Hatching Plans and therefore draw 3 cards. I then have over 7 cards in my hand again so do i discard again? I think that's how Hatching Plans works.

1. Hatching plans triggers when it is put into the graveyard from the battlefield. Discarding it from your hand does not trigger it.

2. If it did trigger when discarded, then yes, you would discard to 7, trigger the plans, and then draw 3. Then discard again once priority is passed around.

Always check the gatherer entry for cards:

When Hatching Plans is put into a graveyard from the battlefield, draw three cards.

is the official Oracle entry for Hatching plans, so discarding it does not cause you to draw cards.

If it did do that, then yes, you would have to discard again, because an ability would have triggered and a new cleanup step would happen, forcing you to discard down to seven cards in hand.
