Grimgrin, again. Sorry :P

When Swinging with Grimgrin; the card states, "Whenever Grimgrin attacks, destroy target creature defending player controls, then put a +1/+1 counter on Grimgrin."
Does that mean the defending player blocks first and then I destroy? Or does the destroy effect spring before the blocking initiates..

Grimgrin, Corpse-Born has a triggered ability that triggers when it attacks. Therefore, the ability will go onto the stack after you are finished declaring attackers. This is before your opponent declares blockers, so you may target and destroy a creature that you don't want to block Grimgrim before your opponent has the opportunity to do so.

I think he crushes the target creature first before blocking.
