Godsend + combat damage

Hi if my creature have Godsend equiped then it blocks a 10/10 creature deathtouch, do i get to exile it 1st before combat damage? or does it kill my creature before i get to exile my opponent creature thanks

Godsend triggers in the declare blockers step, and will resolve before combat damage is assigned (as that happens in the following step)

Came here for this...thanks! Wasn't sure if damage was assigned and then exile happened or vice versa, glad its the vice versa lol.
