Gluntch and Iridescent Hornbeetle interaction problems

I am in a situation where a player has Gluntch, the Bestower and Iridescent Hornbeetle on the field and no one can figure out if Iridescent Hornbeetle can get the insects off of Gluntch giving 1/1 counters to himself

Yes, that can work. If Gluntch and the Hornbeetle are controlled by the same player then that player can decide what order to put the triggers onto the stack when they both trigger at the beginning of that player's end step. If the Hornbeetle's trigger is put onto the stack first and Gluntch's trigger is put on top of it, then Gluntch's trigger will resolve first. The player can put counters on Gluntch (or one of their other creatures) and then the Hornbeetle's trigger will count them when it's time for it to start resolving.
