Genesis Hydra and Chromanticore

If I have a creature on the board and Genesis Hydra with x as 7, and reveal a Chromanticore, do I have the option of bestowing the Chromanticore on the creature?

Using the alternate Bestow cost and casting Chromanticore as an Aura spell is only an option when you're actually casting it. Genesis Hydra puts it straight onto the battlefield without casting, so you can't Bestow.

No Chromanticore enters the battlefield as a creature only. As bestow says, If you cast this card for its bestow cost, it's an aura spell. Bestow is an alternate way to cast Chromanticore but as you are just putting it directly onto the battlefield you don't get to choose the alternative.Hope this helped.

Even though Genesis Hydra says "nonland permanent card" which could also be the bestow if you had the mana?

The "nonland permanent card" is Chromanticore. Under normal circumstances it's a creature. It can only be an Aura if you're actually casting it for the Bestow cost, which you're not. It has to enter the battlefield as a creature in this example.
