Fling and Nivix Cyclops

If I were to use Fling on a Nivix Cyclops , and if I didn't cast any other spells this turn, would the nivix get boosted to a 4/4 and deal 4 damage or would it just be a 1/4 because sacrificing it was part of the spell cost?

It would be a 1/4, and Fling would deal 1 damage.All costs for a spell have to be paid before it goes on the stack. The cyclops' ability won't trigger until Fling is on the stack.
