First Response M15, 'each upkeep' does include my opponents?

Asked by ExpectDragons 10 years ago

Right, First Response states 'at the beginning of each upkeep' so that includes my opponents correct? So if i loose life on my turn i'll get a 1/1 on their upkeep, then another if i loose life during their turn? It's not on gatherer yet so i can't check the rule text. Thinking about playing in a cage deck with Bitterblossom so i'm getting at least two guys a turn, with an extra on theirs if they manage to hit me.

Yes, it's each upkeep. It doesn't matter who's upkeep it is.

Yes, it will check whether you lost life during the previous turn during -all- player's upkeeps.

First Response has a triggered ability that checks to see if you lost life last turn. So in a 2 player game, if you lose life on your turn you'll get a 1/1 soldier on your opponent's upkeep. If you lose life during your opponent's turn, you'll get a 1/1 soldier on your upkeep. It's pretty simple.
