Exile or "remove from game"

Are cards from Ancestral Knowledge exiled (since that term did not yet exist back at the time when Mirage was released)?

Yes, since all cards that read "Remove from game" have received errata to say "exile"

If ever in doubt, Scryfall & Wizard's Gatherer are both excellent sites that always have errata up to date :)
