Evolving Wilds

Say I play evolving wilds late game and I have no basics left in my library, does it still sac or does it just stay on the board useless?
As a side note you can only choose to "fail to find" within a hidden zone, such as your library. This is because the player doing the searching cannot prove that there is not a card of the given quality without also revealing the entire library. (Keep in mind that when performing a search, even if you fail to find you must perform the other actions like shuffling the library. This is true even if search is not really performed.)
Also if you cast a card like Diabolic Tutor and you have at least one card in your library then you can not choose "Fail to find" because you most assuredly have a card to find in the deck that fits the criteria "Is a card"

You can sac it.
Whenever you search your library for something, you are always allowed to say "fail to find", and not search out anything. It's essentially just you shuffling your library.
