Erebos, God of the Dead and Darkest Hour

Just curious, I'm pretty sure this doesn't work, but I could use some clarification. Erebos, God of the Dead devotion doesn't become triggered from sources like Darkest Hour Am I correct?

Erebos' Devotion ability is not a triggered ability. Triggered abilities begin with "When", "Whenever" or "At". It is a static ability that is simply true or not.

Devotion counts mana symbols in permanents you control. Darkest Hour doesn't change any mana symbols, so you're right, it doesn't do anything to your Devotion to black.
