Double Strike + Triggered Abilities

Pretty simple question, does double strike result in abilities that say when you deal damage happening twice? Such as Sword of Fire and Ice on a creature with double strike getting to deal 4 damage total to target creature or player instead of two? I'm pretty sure it does, but want to make sure.

You are correct, if an ability triggers every time a creature deals damage, that will cause a creature dealing combat damage to trigger it twice.

You also draw two cards instead of one.
