Does Soul's Might's ability put counters based on current power, or base power?

Asked by eeuhn 12 years ago

I looked on the official website, and I couldn't find any rulings regarding this. The description is somewhat ambiguous in my opinion; current power or base power(as I mentioned) would be more clear. (this is, of course, assuming there is not a rule which automatically defaults it to one or the other.)

card:Soul's Might

It is the power of the creature when the card resolves. This is true just as Fling img a creature takes any +1/+1 counters on that creature into account.

If it said "creature card's power" then it would be the printed power.

so yeah, if you run exalted, you can attack, make it huge and then dump a ton of counters on it.

Exalted lasts until end of turn. Flinging to win is possible with this combo.
