Yep. From the Comprehensive Rules (emphasis added):
700.4. The term dies means "is put into a graveyard from the battlefield."
701.14a To sacrifice a permanent, its controller moves it from the battlefield directly to its owner's graveyard. A player can't sacrifice something that isn't a permanent, or something that's a permanent he or she doesn't control. Sacrificing a permanent doesn't destroy it, so regeneration or other effects that replace destruction can't affect this action.
DiesA creature "dies" if it is put into a graveyard from the battlefield. See rule 700.4.

No, it counts as dying. Not sure what dieing is.

Dieing is the present tense of the verb die meaning to cut, form, or stamp with or as if with a die. It is a metal working term primarily. That is the reason that spell check on internet browsers won't catch it as being a misspell.
I feel however that you were being malicious to the person who asked a simple question and for that I award you no points and may god have mercy on your soul. I am the first to advocate correct spelling and grammar since it leads to clear communication and people don't waste time trying to understand your meaning. You apparently not only wanted to waste time figuring out what they meant you also wanted to waste more time correcting them to make yourself feel superior. Now you are wasting even more time reading this rebuttal. You did however learn an interesting tidbit by reading the first part so I guess you learned something from this long winded reply.

Gidgetimer Well ok, but he was talking about dying not dieing so your argument is pretty invalid. Also spellcheck does underline dieing...

I wasn't trying to make a valid point actually It was more a completely nonconstructive and irrelevant post about the evils of nonconstructive and irrelevant posts. So I guess I should award myself no points and may god have mercy on my soul as well. Also Firefox doesn't underline dieing on my computer...

Yes. In MtG, "Dies" is a shorthand for "moves from the battlefield to the graveyard". Since sacrifice does just that, Soulcage Fiend 's death trigger will trigger if you sacrifice it.
