Does my Adaptive Automaton keep the chosen creaturetype when it leaves the battlefield?

When I cast Adaptive Automaton and choose Myr as creaturetype, does it stay a Myr only as long as it's on the battlefield? Or would I be able to get it back from the graveyard with Myr Reservoir's second ability, for example?

When a permanent leaves the Battlefield it loses all memory of it's previous existence on the Battlefield. So, no, it would cease to be a Myr once it leaves.
