Does an aura still stay if permanent becomes illegal?

Asked by Dusk 10 years ago

Here's my question. If I enchant a creature such as Inkmoth Nexus, does the aura stay at the end of the turn when the creature becomes an illegal target? Same question for an equipment card. Thank you very much

The Aura will fall off and be put into the graveyard as a state based action. The Equipment will also fall off.

If the permanent an Aura is attached to does not meet the requirements (typically types) of the "enchant ~" keyword, it becomes unattached and is sent to the graveyard. In this case, Inkmoth Nexus will revert to being a land at the end of turn, and the Aura will fall off.

Equipment cannot be attached to a noncreature permanent, and will also become unattached as a state based action when Inkmoth Nexus ceases to be a creature.
