Does a mill spell in 2HG cause both on a team to mill that many cards?

For example, consider this. I'm on a team with my friend and we're playing against a mill deck and some other deck in 2HG. The mill player casts Mind Sculpt , targeting my deck. He then says that since we're the same player, both of our decks should mill 7 cards. I think that since he just targeted me, I should only have to mill 7, not my friend as well. Who's in the right here?

Remember that even though teammates share turns and life totals, they are still different players. Effects that affect a target or particular player only affect that player. Effects that affect multiple players can affect all players on a team.
Also, Mind Sculpt targets the player, not the library.

You are correct. "Target player" cards will affect one player, not the team. Notably, cards that say each opponent will hit both of you, not the team, and if one of you can't draw a card, the 2HG team will lose.
