Do basic lands count towards devotion?

Forest is clearly a green card and permanent but does it count?
No, only mana symbols in the casting cost of permanents count towards devotion. Basic lands have no casting cost.

Forest is not a green card. It's a colorless card. Color is determined by mana cost and color indicator, and Forest has no mana cost and no color indicator.

The reminder text for devotion explains that it counts symbols in a card's mana cost (the mana symbols printed in the upper-right corner of a card). Lands don't have a mana cost.
