Diabolic Tutor

If I search my deck for a card with Diabolic Tutor do I have to show my opponent which card I searched for? I was underthe impression that I was only required to show if the search I used told me to, or if there was a search condition. (e.g. - Search for a creature)
And generally, the only times tutors tell you to reveal the card is if you are searching with some kind of limit. Because both players are responsible for maintaining board state, and if you search for a creature but get an instant, that is cheating. By making you reveal the card, you show to all players that the game state is still correct.

You are correct. You don't reveal the card because Diabolic Tutor doesn't instruct you to reveal the card. You only do so if specifically instructed by the effect.
