Why is Courser of Kruphix an Enchantment-Creature?

Idk why this would matter it is an enchant-creature most likely for the fact it comes along with abilities such as play with the top card of your library revealed, you may play the top card if its a land, whenever a land you ownenters the battlefield you gain a life etc but it is both and enchantment and creature

It's just a Theros block mechanic. It doesn't in any way change how the card functions.

I like this card and everything, I was just wondering.

It also makes it a bit easier to remove/destroy (vulnerable to creature and enchantment removal). It's both flavorful for the block and a trade-off/vulnerability for the value of the card.

I agree with cklise. TitansFTW is not entirely correct. Enchantment-Creatures are in fact susceptible to spells/abilities that affect both enchantments and creatures.
