Commander CMC

I'm relatively new to EDH/Commander and I have a pretty simple question I could probably find the answer to on my own, but I'm bad at multitasking and homework is more important.
When your commander is killed and put back into the Command Zone, you have to pay 2 more to cast it, yes? Is that 2 considered part of his CMC, or as an additional casting cost?
It's relevant for Dragon Fangs ' second ability.

No, the additional cost does not modify the CMC of the commander. the CMC does not change, and is equal to the value derived from the mana cost printed on the card.
