Cloned Morph creature turned facedown

Asked by acbooster 10 years ago

I have a deck centralized around morph and have Weaver of Lies in the deck and Clever Impersonator as well. If I have the Impersonator on the field cloning, say, Voidmage Apprentice and have Weaver of Lies turn it face-down, does the Impersonator still retain the aspects of the Apprentice?

Yes. While it's face down it will be a 2/2 with nothing special like usual, but that doesn't mean the copy effect has ended. If you want to turn the Impersonator face up it will still have the characteristics of Voidmage Apprentice on the front face.

Awesome, that helps out the deck a lot knowing that that works. Cloning the Weaver and bouncing the original means I can reload my Morph cannon whenever and however many times I want.
