Kira, Great Glass-Spinner and targeted planeswalker abilities

if Kira, Great Glass-Spinner or another creature is the target of a planeswalker ability does Kira counter it?

The planeswalker ability will be countered if it's the first spell or ability in the turn to target it.

Firstly, Kira, Great Glass-Spinner does not counter the ability. It has a static ability that provides each creature you control with a triggered ability. If a creature is targeted by a spell or ability for the first time in a turn, that creature's triggered ability will trigger to counter it.

Secondly, the triggered ability does not care if the source of an ability is a planeswalker or not. As long as it is a spell or ability that targets the creature for the first time in a turn, the ability will trigger.
