Can you trigger Prowess more than once per turn (I:E: by casting 2 instant non-creatures

Asked by Wildman1 10 years ago

if you have several one drop instants in hand and the mana to cast them could you effectively cast both instants which would trigger prowess twice??

Prowess triggers for each spell that is cast that is not a creature.

Prowess is worded so that it can trigger multiple times a turn. If Wizards wanted to limit that to once per turn, it would be worded something like "whenever you cast an instant or sorcery for the first time each turn ......."

In most cases, if it doesn't say it can't be triggered multiple times, then it can be.

Yes, prowess can be enabled more than once per turn. Let's say you cast a Monastery Swiftspear, then cast 4 noncreature spells. The Swiftspear would get +4/+4 until end of turn.
